IBA Group provides technical support for the IBM Maximo asset management system at Chelyabinsk Tube Rolling Plant (ChelPipe), Russia.
In 2011, ChelPipe, a leading Russian producer of welded and seamless steel tubes and pipes for the Russian oil & gas industry, implemented an automated system for asset management, maintenance, and repairs. Based on the IBM Maximo Asset Management platform, the system is designed to control procurement processes and the stock of spare parts. The system makes it possible to choose an optimum timing for a preventive equipment shutdown, to simplify the idle time accounting, and to analyze the efficiency of the supply chain.
Having offered the best possible combination of services in the IBM Maximo support, IBA Group won the tender for a new project on technical support of the ChelPipe IBM Maximo system.
Since 2016, IBA Group has been responsible for the support, development, and enhancement of the ChelPipe IBM Maximo system in compliance with the requirements of the customer.
The structure of the ChelPipe information system is built using the IBM Maximo cluster configuration that supports the functioning of the plant’s business processes, including inventory control, cost accounting, service desk, and reporting. The IBM Maximo software product is a J2EE application that runs on the Oracle database and the IBM WebSphere application server and is integrated with other enterprise systems.
In 2018, ChelPipe sent IBA Group a letter to thank for the project. In his reference, Roman Zaretsky, Director of IT Department, says: “We thank IBA Group for high quality performance while providing support for the IBM Maximo software. IBA Group demonstrated an operating excellence, a flexible approach to solving problems, sociability and customer mindset. IBA Group contributed to building the processes properly, to performing the support of 70 workplaces in the IBM Maximo system successfully, to conducting the personnel training, and to solving new tasks efficiently.
